Winter cycling....wear your gloves!!

I think everyone gets a little bit of the winter blahs around this time of year. I think we forget that there is a time for everything in our cyle of life and seasons. Christmas is over and is a time of the year where we feel all warm and cozy inside...sharing and caring and baking for our friends and loved ones. Then there are all of the holiday parties...more fun and excitement and conradery.

So when the middle of January rolls around...everything really slows down to a screeeching halt. We forget that this is what the body needs. It is really important to be kind to yourself during this faze of the cycle, and treat your self with kidgloves. It is a time when more sleep and hibernation is in order, a time to recharge the spririt and soul. Open yourself up to the natural rhythm and cycles of your world.

This is a good time to enjoy a good book that you've been putting off, or a warm fire just for the sake of it. It is also a time of year for cleaning and clearing to make room for new ideas, things and people to manifest in your life. This is also the time of the year when we get to just "be",  to remember who we are, what our goals are, who we want to be. We can think, free from distractions...what a blessing is that!  Manifest a new 2012 plan that we can plant for nourishment and growth in the coming seasons.

So be kind to yourself, be patient with yourself....Spring is coming baby...don't rush it! Enjoy each day as it unfolds its secrets to you on what to let go of, and what to keep.. for your best life ever! Prepare "your" garden. Plant the seeds and let them "be". And don't forget the garden gloves! ;0

A Day out in Nature does wonders for the soul!

Ever notice how when life takes you here and there emotionally..sometimes all you need is a day in the sunshine. Sometimes we forget the value of a day out in nature. It is a wonderful recharge and a reminder of things greater than ourselves. We are headed to the beach today for some wonderful sea breezes and a cup of the ocean (or clam chowder ;0).

Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts.

Go out and enjoy some sunshine today!

Home is where the heart can bloom!...once the clutter has been cleared away!

Today is a great day to begin anew! Just as everyday is a great day to beign anew. For me this means cleaning and clearing out of the old..and organizing the new tools around myslf to support me in my goals. Sometimes i get overwhelmed by the amount of materials things i have collected along the way. At different times in our lives we collect stuff to make us feel...happy, glad or secure or just to feel something. Once you realize this, you can let some of it go...whoo it is a process. I wish it were easier for me to let go of the old in my life, but i think i might have found some techniques to help.

Along the way I have learned there is a healthy way to get rid of stuff in your life. For me it is like a peeling away of an onion.. Usually I get on a roll and i just go go go..What happens to me when i try to clean and clear .like this is... i get pooped out before i am done, then get frustrated at myself for not fininshing it ALL. I have learned that if i clean and clear in smaller steps i can get more done in the long hall. But it is not as quick... I like quick! Slow and steady wins the race ...always! If I reframe my goals into smaller steps...like one room at a time, one issue at a time....then i have the energy to follow thru on each goal..which allows me to be more fully present in my life. Hooray that is the goal!!! Two points for today! ...and clearing the clutter..more on that tomorrow!

How to be happy!

Try to make at least one person happy every day, and then in ten years you may have made three thousand, six hundred and fifty persons happy, or brightened a small town by your contribution to the fund of general enjoyment.
